The Australian Shepherd, also called an Aussie, is really a misnomer, for in reality the dog, as we know it today, is completely American, and over there they have been much used for herding cattle.

Kato is registered in the Danish Kennel Club (DKK), he is the father of puppies both at home and abroad, you can see pictures of them under Offspring.
Kato has of course been character tested (DKK Youth Character Test), and has had his hips photographed  (result A/A, corresponds to OFA Excellent/Good) and his eyes certified.

Originally we got ourselves a herding dog to help with the daily handling of the sheep. We chose the Australian Shepherd for its beauty and wonderful playfulness, his herding abilities fulfil in every way out needs, and our training of Kato has led to many people finding their way to our little farm to train their herding dogs, border collies, Aussies, Corgis, Icelandic sheepdogs, Australian kelpies, and others.
